I never really thought of age as a barrier to anything, but the older we get the less able we are to do things – lots of factors, physical ability, time, life and social commitments, money…

Here’s a list I am posting publicly as a commitment to myself and to you that I will try everything within my power to make these dreams a reality. Ones I can realistically tick off before I am 30 are marked with an asterisk (*).

  • Stay overnight in a haunted place

Travel and Broadening The Horizon

  • Travel through Asia in more detail
  • Travel through Eastern Europe
  • Travel through North Africa
  • Travel through Africa
  • Travel through South America
  • Travel through Scandinavia
  • Travel through Middle East

Outdoors and Adventure

  • Climb to Base Camp Everest
  • Climb Mount Kilimanjaro
  • Climb the Inca Trail
  • Ski from France into Italy
  • Go on an African Safari

Music and Entertainment

  • Go to Coachella
  • Go to SXSW
  • Celebrate Oktoberfest in Munich
  • Go to a large European Music Festival
  • Go to Glastonbury Festival
  • Go to a Full Moon Party

Spiritual and Enrichment

  • Get Blessed by a Buddhist Monk
  • Meditate in an ancient temple that is more than 500 years old


  • Volunteer in impoverished communities for a period of time
  • Volunteer in a soup kitchen

Food, Eating Culture and Traceability

  • Visit a factory farm in the USA
  • Volunteer on a French vineyard
  • Learn how to make cheese (preference for French varietals)
  • Volunteer on a coffee plantation
