On a planté des jeunes plantes de tomates et quelques jeunes plantes de courgettes dans le jardin. C’était à Fabien et Charlie de le faire.
We planted tomato and zucchini seedlings in the vegetable garden. Fabien and Charlie were tasked to this mission.
Gaëlle et moi avons ramassés les fraises du jardin, c’étaient des fraises Gariguettes ! On avait un petit concours pour avoir le plus de fraises que possible, mais on a arrêté le jeu tout de suite en réalisant qu’il y aurait trop de fraises à porter dans les barquettes.
Gaëlle and I went to pick the strawberries, which were Gariguette variety. We had a little contest to see who could pick the most strawberries, but we quickly stopped that when we realised that there would be so many that wouldn’t fit in out punnets.
On en a beaucoup ramassé, presque quatre ou cinq pleines barquettes ! Gaëlle et Charlie ont fait une tarte aux fraises ! C’était trop bon !
We picked heaps of strawberries, nearly four or five full punnets ! Gaëlle and Charlie made a strawberru tarte ! It was so tasty !
Fabien et moi avons posé les piquets pour jeunes plantes de tomates. Moi, j’avait un piquet métal et très lourd pour créer un trou. Après Fabien a posé un piquet dans le trou, qui était juste à côté de la plante.
Fabien and I placed the stakes for the tomato seedlings. I had a heavy métal stake that I used to create a hole. Fabien would hammer in the stake when the hole was made, right next to the plant.
J’ai regardé Gaëlle faire et façonner la pâte pour la tarte. Elle a également fait la crème de pâtissier. On a mangé la tarte pour dessert après le diner.
I watched Gaëlle prepare and work the dough for the tart. She also prepared the crème de pâtissier herself, it was all home made. The tart was served for dessert after dinner that night.
